First off, I want to say that I LOVE my gym and the people there!!! A few months ago I was going through a handful of life changes and challenges all at once and I was feeling a bit “lost” in life. I wanted to make a positive change, so I decided to come in to do a tour and quickly realized that the Fighting Fit was what I was looking for. Jaimie walked me through the building and the cross fit group was dropping their weights and there was no Lunk Alarm going off! I always thought it odd that someone would be offended by someone else going to their own personal max. I loved the sound, I loved that people were pushing themselves to be the best they possibly could be and they were talking and encouraging each other. It was clear that this gym was different in all the right ways. We continued the tour until we reached the Krav room,
where a girl and a guy were practicing ground fighting. Instantly I knew that is what I wanted to be doing, it was right up my alley!! Jeff the instructor came over to introduce himself, he shook my hand, complimented my handshake and then said/asked “Your here for Krav?”. To which I replied “No, just doing the tour.” He almost cut me off and in a serious tone said “No, you ARE here for Krav” to which I could only chuckle and reply “Yes…yes I am”. The rest is history! The classes, instructors and people have empowered me, pushed my personal fitness limits and boosted my self confidence by leaps and bounds. The Krav Maga classes are what really caught my interest the most. All of the instructors are amazing and the classes are challenging yet accommodate people of varying fitness levels. I personally deal with many joint issues due to a genetic condition, everyone has been accommodating and I never once felt like I was unwanted or couldn’t still come, learn and grow. I know it is cheesy, but the people at the Fighting Fit have really become a second family, we all work together, support each other and encourage personal growth. I can’t thank everyone enough!!!
